Access To The Hidden Partition Pqservice

Many laptops and computers comes in our days without recovery cd, the OS and driver are in hidden partition.

I will show you step by step how to unhide this partition. You will need to use PARTEDIT32.

Be aware that you can lose all your data in this operation, you should backup all your important things before.

This, is working with acer aspire laptops and probably with a large variety of computer with hidden partition.

First boot in bios menu by pressing F2 key on boot,

disable the d2d recovery save and restart.

Now we will use PARTEDIT32 this nice freeware software will make a great job, it will allow you to make your partition visible in some clicks of mouse and on the fly under Windows XP.

Unzip and launch Partedit32. The user interface opens, simple but effective, if you have more than one hard disk, choose the one where your hidden partition is in the menu Hard Disk, then look at the column TYPE in your partitions table here is the type of your partition, you can reach a list of the various types of partition by clicking the button SET TYPE.

In this example with a Acer laptop the name of the partition is PQSERVICE and its type is 12, changes it by type 07, save and reboot.

After boot in windows go to my computer you will see a new disk named PQSERVICE you have done it.

In this disk you can find your drivers and windows files. We will explain in another review how to make a real windows cd with these data.

Since that you have finish with these data you just have to repeat the operation and change back the value.

Takže Acer vytvoří recovery partiton se systémem a zákazníkovi neprozradí, jak ji použít? Opravdu?

BIOS utility
The BIOS utility is a hardware configuration program built into your computer's BIOS.
Your computer is already properly configured and optimized, and you do not need to run this utility. However, if you encounter configuration problems, you may need to run it.
To activate the BIOS utility, press <F2> during the POST; while the notebook PC logo is being displayed.

Boot sequence
To set the boot sequence in the BIOS utility, activate the BIOS utility, then select Boot from the categories listed at the top of the screen.

Enable disk-to-disk recovery
To enable disk-to-disk recovery (hard disk recovery), activate the BIOS utility, then select Main from the categories listed at the top of the screen. Find D2D Recovery at the bottom of the screen and use the <F5> and <F6> keys to set this value to Enabled.

jistě máš i český manuál.

dá se čekat, že po použití jejich "hard disk recovery" přijdeš o veškerá dosavadní data na disku.

já vim že mám shit notebook
to D2D recovery mám enabled ,ale potom nvm co mám dělat dál ,mám prej stisknout Alt-F10 ale nvm kdy to stisknout prej se to má použít při náběhů windowsů, ale mě to nic nedělá.

alt+f10 platí pro vytvoření zálohy současného stavu pod windows - mají tam na to nějaký program. bez běžících windows je to k ničemu, ostatně ty chceš něco jiného.

bios aceru neznám, ani ho nikdy neuvidím před sebou. ale snad čtu dobře:

ad shit: normálnější výrobci alespoň přibalují recovery dvd, a navíc přikládají český návod, kde je popsána obnova systému - z recovery dvd či partition.

1.Turn the system on
2.Immediately, press ALT on the keyboard and start tapping F10.
3.Continue holding ALT and tapping F10 as the unit boots up.
A screen stating "Starting Acer Erecovery" should appear.
(Release ALT and stop tapping F10 at this point)
There will be 4 options:
1. Restore system to factory default
2. Restore system from user backup
3. Restore system from cd/dvd
4. Exit

Česky:
1. Zapni PC
2. Okamžitě po zapnutí zmáčkni na klávesnici ALT a ťukej na klávesu F10 zatámco PC nabíhá
3. Objeví se obrazovka s nápisem: Starting Acer Erecovery ( v té chvíli pusť klávesu ALT a přestaň ťukat na F10 )

Měla by se objevit nabídka 4 možností:
1. Obnovit systém do továrního nastavení
2. Obnovit systém z uživatelovy zálohy
3. Obnovit systém z CD/DVD
4. Konec

Počítej s tím, že to může trvat 10 a více minut a zdánlivě se nebude nic dít, protože program na restore smaže data na oddílu a také může oddíl, na který obnovuje formátovat. Pokud obnovuješ do továrního nastavení, budeš muset znovu instalovat servicepacky a aktualizce, což může trvat mnohonásobně déle, než proces recovery.
