Surely overclocking a card like this is a way to get more performance from a cheaper card - buying a pre-overclocked card for the same price as the next model up can't ever make sense can it?

We understand what you're saying, but here's the problem from our point of view. First off, we want to stress the cards on test as much as possible, so most of our standard tests use DX11 which the previous generation doesn't support.

The killer reason for not including old cards is that if you're looking at graphics card reviews or are looking to upgrade, you already think your current card is too slow. Therefore you want a new one that's fast enough for the screen you have. Our reviews serve this purpose perfectly.

I think the point being made is that the word should be 'quiet' and not 'quite'. ;)
