Go to your Right click on your Vista desktop and select Personalize,
next Select Desktop Background and select Solid Colors
(this will disable your wallpaper). Next select the More...
option (so we can set the desktop to the proper color)

Now this is the Important part! To get Overlay mode working we need
to use a Specific Color for the Desktop..no other color will work.
Go over to the RED GREEN BLUE Custom Value Input Boxes
and enter these values
Red :15
Green: 0
Blue :15

Now Select Desktop Mode in KMPlayer Menu (found under
Screen Controls)...now you can enjoy desktop mode under
Vista!
