It is a good idea to wrote down all you do when in the BIOS

All commands are done using the keyboard.
To Exit any menu use the Esc key
I can give you an idea of what they will look like, but may not match exactly

arrow keys are used to select an item
enter key used to select a different menu or sub menu
+ key used to change a setting
As soon as comp boots press the F2 key
the main menu will open
use arrow key to select Advanced menu - press Enter key
use arrow key to select Peripheral Configuration menu ( it could show Integrated Peripherals )
use arrow key to select
look for Audio or High Definition audio
If it shows Disabled
use arrow key to select
check which key to use to change, but usually it is the + key
look to see if F10 is shown to Save and Exit
if it is press the F10 key
y key to accept changes
XP will load
install audio driver again, but XP may find the driver and install for you
