If you experience problems installing with a message claiming the install pack cannot find a cab file that IS clearly on the disk try this. If you are using XP or similar administrator system then this may be a security policy setting. If you enable the Windows registry setting to restrict access to cdrom to local accounts only. To fix open administrative tools - local policy - security options - Devices: Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged-on users only. Change to disabled.

I found this worked not only for this game but other installation packs that use CAB files.
