Já vím, že je to možná "neoficiální" doporučení, ale nevidím důvod mu nevěřit. Prostě jsem to odinstaloval. Že tu odinstalaci nedokáže MS provést sám v rámci winupdate, mě také udivilo.

“Customers do not need to uninstall the expired 2982791 update before applying the 2993651 update; however, Microsoft strongly recommends it,” Microsoft says. “Customers who do not remove the expired update will retain a listing for 2982791 under installed updates in Control Panel.”

In other words, you don’t have to uninstall the patch—but yes, you pretty much have to.
