The very first thing I noticed about this game was how well they responded to the Logitech profiler, it may take a while to set up but once configured manually you will find that you have the best of both worlds. Although I did test the wheel for a quick run in San Andreas by manually configuring the key layout in game I preferred the Profiler for ease of use. Using vehicles, I decided to try to perform a few stunts and handbrake turns, since all the games vehicles differ in response, this was no easy task. After sampling many cars, bikes and buses, I found the sports cars to be my vehicles of choice as they responded far better than the bikes, which I found very difficult to steer correctly.

Stepping out of the car provides a wholly different experience, the joypad I found to be far superior to using a keyboard, yet felt it was lacking in some areas due to the cheap overall feel of the keys. As a frequent gamepad user, I know how frustrating this series can be if your pad does not support enough buttons for controls, yet I felt the twelve keys allowed for a broad range of commands. Overall when played on a desk or on your lap using the stabilizer wings, either way provides an experience superior to any mouse or keyboard setup.
