(Otherwise they would have to go to the Mozilla website and download it.) It looks like the "automatic" and suggested update path will be 1.5.0.7 to 1.5.0.8 to 2.0.1 (or maybe 2.0).

In other words, the 1.5.0.7 user will get a software update recommending (or automatically upgrading to) 1.5.0.8. That version has the new update functionality.
